OF 1010 Router, Page Two.
| |
In this picture is the guide rail attachment.
The guide rail attachment allows the 1010 to rout perfect dados, groves and slots. You can see here that the support foot holds the router parallel to the work surface as it hangs over the egde of the guide rail.

Click on the image above to see a video of the 1010 cutting a dado with guide rail attachment.
Also included with the OF1010 is the guide bushing adaptor for PC style bushings.
Dust extraction was not an after thought with the 1010, the oval shaped dust port is built into the base and made to fit the D27 hose.
To help catch the dust the 1010 has a shroud that goes around the bit. The top of the shroud can be removed for use with larger bits.
As you have already seen from videos, the 1010's dust collection is very effective. Depending of the type of routing being preformed, 60% to more than 90% of the dust is collected.
The 1010 is very well equipped right out of the box, but to get even more out of it, here are some accessories made specifically for the 1010 that I have found useful.
Shown here with the guide rail attachment is the FE-FS/OF 1010 Fine Adjuster. The Fine Adjuster is used to make fine adjustments to the router while being used on the guide rail. This is a great accessory for getting the female dovetail centered or for a perfect fit for dados.
The Fine Adjuster attaches to the mounting rods and the routers base.
