The Festool TS 55 EQ Plunge Cut Saw: The Facts, page two.
On the front of the saw housing is depth scale. The depth can be set to the nearest mm.
To make a plunge cut in the middle of your stock. First line up the marks on the saw's housing (they mark the blade width when the saw is fully plunged) and the marks for your cut.
Now place the limit stop on the rail to the rear of the saw base. Now make the cut using the marks on the saw and the work piece to make the cut.
Changing blades is easy with the TS55's Fast Fix system.
Pull out the Fast Fix lever.
Then plunge the saw. It will automatically disconnect the power switch and lock the blade in position to get to the arbor bolt.
Remove the onboard allen wrench.
Use the allen wrench to remove the arbor bolt. Then you can take off the blade and replace it with another.
| |
Dust collection when the TS55 is hooked up to a vac is between 80% to over 90%. I cover dust extraction in more detail in the "Tid Bits" section.
