Festool tips and information site.

Not so long ago I was on the fence about buying my first Festool and trying gather as much information as I could. Before I go any farther, let me tell you a little about what my needs are. I'm a General contractor. My tools must be professional grade and portable. More than 90% of my work is "on-site," in my clients home. So, I bring my shop on the road with me every day. With my portable table saw, I grew tired of always needing someone else to help me run sheet goods through the saw, too often with less than desirable results. One day I saw an article in a magazine about the Festool TS 55, and I was intrigued. I started searching the net, and found out about this saw. "It's a portable panel saw" was one quote, "This saw allows you to trim the bottom of a door blank right inside someone's house" was another. This saw seemed to be the cat's meow, with its dust collection and being able to make splinter free cuts. So I dove in. Along the way I have picked up a few more Festool tools, and learned about the true value, "the system" how all of the Festool products work together. Well, I for one, am never going back to second rate tools that seem to be more and more plastic each year, only improving the company's profits. And Festool actually improves already great tools every year. Bottom line, I think you will find the Festool products to be of the highest quality, both in terms of design and construction!

This page was put together to help individuals get information on the Festool tools. From someone that uses these tools every day as part of their livelihood. So here is a look at some of the Festool lineup and a few tips to make use of these tools easier and more enjoyable. -Brice Burrell
